Louvre museum selects Risk&Co as a security partner
Heading a specialised consortium, Risk&Co was recently awarded one of the most prestigious project management contracts of the year, aimed at improving the protection of the Louvre Museum.
With nearly 10 million visitors each year, the Louvre constitutes one of France’s iconic landmarks and the most visited museum in the world. With over 35,000 exhibited artworks, and some 360,000 square meters, ensuring the security of such a site poses a quite unique challenge.
The highly complementary nature of the services offered within the consortium (safety engineering, cybersecurity, ergonomics, architecture, etc.) has enabled the Risk&Co Group to offer tailor made resources, perfectly meeting the Louvre Museum’s specific expectations and constraints.
With this contract, Risk&Co and its partners will be in charge of further improving the overall museum security. Among other tasks, modernising the Louvre’s electronic protection systems will prove critical.
This new operation comes as rewards and further demonstrates the Risk&Co group’s solid expertise possessed in the field of historic monuments’ security. Risk&Co has indeed been providing its services to the Louvre Museum for more than 15 years and the current mission comes as the culmination of a long-standing partnership.
This very prestigious project adds to the long list of similar operations carried out by Risk&Co on behalf of the iconic historic monuments in the Paris area: Palace of Versailles, Opéra Garnier, Musée d’Orsay, Eiffel Tower, Cluny Museum….
