1. FRANCE: French Polynesia – Easing of lockdown from April 29th, 2020
Local authorities have announced that the currently enforced lockdown regime will be eased from April 29th, 2020, following a drop in the observation of COVID-19 related cases.
Several non-priority sectors will thus be allowed to resume their activity, including construction and public engineering companies, restaurants and most businesses, under condition that certain safety standards are met for their staff and customers.
2. AUSTRIA: Vienna – Easing of restrictions
As part of the easing of COVID-19 related restrictions, the Minister of Health announced on April 28th, 2020, that gatherings of up to 10 people would be authorised again.
In addition, restrictive measures regulating public travel for a limited number of reasons, including shopping or physical exercise, which are set to expire on April 30th, 2020, will not be renewed.
3. UNITED STATES: New-York – Face mask mandatory on JetBlue flights
Jetblue airline officials announced on April 27th, 2020, that all customers will be required to wear a mask or face cover over their nose and mouth during flight and boarding and disembarkation operations, from May 4th, 2020.
In addition, the number of seats available for sale has been reduced, in order to comply with the rules on social distancing during the journey.
4. HONG KONG: Hong Kong – Gradual resumption of public service from May 4th, 2020
According to a statement by Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam, issud on April 28th, 2020, all civil servants will gradually resume their work from May 4th, 2020.
In addition, some public facilities, such as sports fields, libraries and museums will reopen from this date onwards.
However, large public gatherings will still be forbidden.
Border control measures also remain in place.
5. NIGERIA: Lagos/Abuja/Ogun – One-week lockdown extension
On April 27th, 2020, the authorities announced a one-week extension of the currently enforced lockdown regime in Lagos, Abuja and Ogun.
In addition, gradual easing of lockdown measures will be approved shortlu, according to President Buhari.
A curfew regime, effective from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. (local time), will come into force throughout the country from May 4th, 2020 onwards, and all movements will be forbidden during this period, except for the provision of essential services
6. JORDAN: Amman – Easing of restrictions
Local authorities announced on April 27th, 2020, the relaxation pf the COVID-19 related restrictions, currently enforced in the capital city, Amman.
Private vehicles are allowed to operate between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. (local time) from April 29th, 2020.
Public transport and taxi services will also resume with restrictions, along with
the mandatory wearing of masks and gloves.
7. BELGIUM: Brussels – Extension of the cancellation of TUI fly Belgium flights until June 7th, 2020
TUI fly Belgium announced the extension of its policy of cancellation of all of its flights until June 7th, 2020.
This decision follows the adoption of measures by the Belgian National Security Council on April 24th, 2020, banning all non-essential travel abroad until June 8th, 2020.
As of April 28th, 2020, there have been 46,687 cases of COVID-19, including 7,207 fatalities.
8. CROATIA: Zagreb – Resumption of Croatia Airlines domestic flights from May 11th, 2020
The Croatian Ministry for Sea, Transport, and Infrastructure announced on April 25th, 2020, the resumption of Croatia Airlines’ domestic flights as of May 11th, 2020.
Split and Dubrovnik will be the first destinations to be served, twice a day (once in the morning and once in the evening, departing from Zagreb).
As of April 28th, 2020, there are 2,039 cases of COVID-19 in the country, including 59 fatalities.
9. BANGLADESH: Dhaka – Extension of suspension of international and domestic flights until May 7th, 2020
The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) on April 27th, 2020, extended the application of the measure suspending all international flights until May 7th, 2020.
The suspension will apply to the following 16 countries: Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Bhutan, Hong Kong, India, Kuwait, Malaysia, Maldives, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom and UAE.
Arrivals from China will be subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine regime.
10. INDONESIA: East Java – Partial lockdown from April 28th, 2020
Provincial authorities in East Java have declared the application of a two-week lockdown regime, effective for the city of Surabaya and the surrounding areas of Sidoarjo and Gresik from April 28th, 2020.
In addition, the Governor announced that the currently enforced lockdown regime, planned to end on May 11th, 2020, could be extended for an additional 14 days.
